GSSSB Laboratory Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2025

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years (as on 20-09-2025)
• Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories:
  • Female (General): 5 years (max 38 years)
  • Reserved Category Male: 5 years (max 38 years)
  • Reserved Category Female: 10 years (max 43 years)
  • PwD candidates (General): up to 15 years (max 45 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per rules

Educational Qualification

• Must have passed Higher Secondary (12th) in Science Stream from a recognized Board.
• Must have basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Must have knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi language.

GSSSB Laboratory Assistant Salary 2025

• During the first five years, candidates will get a fixed pay of ₹26,000/- per month.
• After successful completion of five years, candidates will be placed in the 7th Pay Commission Level-2 pay scale of ₹19,900 – ₹63,200/-.

Laboratory Assistant Exam Fee 2025

• General Category (Unreserved): ₹500/-
• Reserved Categories (SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, Women, PwD, Ex-Servicemen): ₹400/-
• Payment Mode: Online only (Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, Wallets)
• Candidates who appear in the exam will get their exam fee refunded.
